ADMISSION – DIRECT SECOND YEAR

AIKTC offers 3 years Direct Second Year – Bachelor of Pharmacy Course affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is recognized by the AICTE, DTE and Government of Maharashtra.

  • Eligibility:

The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Pharmacy with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.
Note: In case percentage, marks in the Diploma Examination comes in fraction then percentage of marks shall be rounded off as explained in the example for the purpose of deciding the eligibility of the candidate. Example: – If the percentage of marks comes out to be 39.50% to 39.99% then it shall be rounded to 40% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 39.01% to 39.49% then it shall be rounded to 39%.

The Admission shall be offered strictly on the basis of inter se Merit of the Candidates. Inter se Merit shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained at the final year or final Semester / Semesters of Diploma Course in Pharmacy Examination on the basis of which the first class has been awarded by the Examining Authority. In case of Grades, Index, Credits etc. a Certified copy of the Method for Conversion into Equivalent marks declared by the Relevant Examination Authority should be attached with the Application. The candidate should produce such certificate at the time of submission of application form. The Eligibility shall be decided based on the equivalent marks submitted by such candidates.

Relative Merit in case of Tie:

In case of Candidates securing Equal number of marks, their relative inter se merit shall be determined in the following order:

(a) A Candidate securing higher aggregate marks in First Year Diploma Course in Pharmacy.

(b) A Candidate passing the HSC ( Std. XII ) Examination with Higher total marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics (whichever is maximum amongst Biology/Mathematics).

(c) A Candidate passing the SSC ( Std. X ) Examination with Higher marks out of 150 in Science.

(d) A Candidate securing Higher Aggregate marks in HSC ( Std. XII ) Examination.

(e) An Older Candidate shall be preferred over a Younger Candidate. State level Merit list of Eligible Candidates will be prepared and displayed on the DTE website as per the schedule.
