Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics.         

                                                     AND

  • Secured minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology subjects added together (not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 40% marks i.e. not less than 120 marks out of 300 marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.) (Maximum of marks obtained in Biology/Mathematics shall be considered for the purpose of addition))

                                                     AND

  • Obtained a Non Zero Score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects added together in MHT – CET 2016 Score Card.

Assignment of Merit Number
Merit number will be generated on the basis of MHT-CET Score.

Relative Merit in Case of a Tie
In the case of candidates securing equal number of marks in MHT-CET-2016, their relative Merit will be fixed on the basis of the following order of preference:

Candidate securing higher marks out of 100 in the subject of Mathematics/Biology (whichever is maximum) in
MHT-CET 2016.

(a) A candidate securing higher marks out of 100 in the subject of Mathematics/Biology (whichever is maximum) in MT-CET 2016.

(b) A candidate securing higher marks out of 50 in the subject of Chemistry in MT-CET2016.

(c) A candidate securing higher % of marks in the subject of Chemistry at HSC (Std. XII) Examination.

(d) A candidate securing higher % of marks in the subject of Physics at HSC (Std. XII) Examination.

(e) A candidate passing the HSC (Std. XII) examination with higher % of aggregate marks.

(f) Birth Date of the candidate (Elder Candidate will be given preference)
